Eigentlich waren wir ja nur wegen Feist da. Aber aufgrund von Anschuldigungen gegen den Sänger von Arcade Fire hat die ganze Tour gecanceled — also nur Arcade Fire und gucken, was geht. Viel, würde ich sagen.
Von der Band kannte ich eigentlich immer nur „The Suburbs“ in Dauerschleife. Aus dem Album kamen zwar nur zwei Songs, aber die Show war trotzdem phenomenal. Zwei Bühnen — eine für Pianostücke, auf der die Band im Kreis stand, und eine große Hauptbühne, die mit Lichteffekten und riesigen Beamern glänzte. Die Band spielte auf beiden und flog zwischendurch auf einer Art Hoverboard durch die Menge. Das war beeindruckend.
Die Songs wurden sauber performed. Die Band ist einfach viel zu groß — 10x so viele Musiker wie es für die Stücke braucht — aber egal, Hauptsache man nutzt mal sein gesamtes Repertoire an Instrumenten, die man so findet. Und genau das machten sie.

We actually only came because of Feist. But Arcade Fire cancelled their whole tour due to allegations against their singer — so just Arcade Fire and seeing what happens. A lot, I’d say.
I pretty much only knew „The Suburbs“ on repeat from the band. Only two songs from that album came by, but the show was phenomenal anyway. Two stages — one for piano pieces where the band stood in a circle, and one big main stage that glowed with light effects and huge projectors. The band played on both and flew through the crowd on some kind of hoverboard in between. That was impressive.
The songs were performed cleanly. The band is just way too big — 10 times as many musicians as the songs actually need — but whatever, at least they got to use their entire repertoire of instruments they could find. And that’s exactly what they did.
