Zum Geburtstag habe ich geschenkt bekommen, zur Jazzrausch Bigband nach Malers Breakdown zu gehen — und das Ganze fand im HP8 statt, einer Location, in der ich die JRBB noch nie gesehen hatte. Großes Haus, großer Sound, große Light-Show. Das war schon beeindruckend.
Die Band spielte sehr jung und sehr lebendig. Man merkte sofort, dass München die Jazzrausch mittlerweile kennt — nicht mehr nur in den kleineren Clubs, sondern eben auch im großen Gasteig. Die Tanzbar war voll, das Publikum jung und hellauf begeistert.
Musik und Sound waren sehr sehr gut — im HP8 stimmt das einfach immer. Die Lichtshow setzte die ganze Show perfekt in Szene. Das war ein großartiges Geburtstagsgeschenk und ich bin froh, die JRBB in dieser Größenordnung gesehen zu haben. So kann man sich die Entwicklung dieser Band gut vorstellen.

As a birthday gift, I got tickets to see Jazzrausch Bigband after Malers Breakdown — and the whole thing took place at the HP8, a venue I’d never seen the JRBB in before. Big room, big sound, big light show. That was pretty impressive.
The band played so young and alive. You could tell right away that Munich knows Jazzrausch now — not just in the smaller clubs anymore, but in the big Gasteig too. The dance floor was packed, the crowd young and totally into it.
Music and sound were really really good — the HP8 just always gets it right. The light show set the whole show perfectly. That was a fantastic birthday gift and I’m glad I got to see the JRBB at this scale. You can really see how this band is developing.
